Four Teams Remain in MCAC Football Playoffs

Rochester, MN -

The Minnesota College Athletic Conference (MCAC) Football Playoffs continue on Sunday, with three of the top four teams in the nation taking the field.  

The #2 team in the nation, Rochester Community & Technical College (6-2 overall, 5-1 in the MCAC), had a bye in the quarterfinal round of action and will now play host to Central Lakes College (3-5 overall, 2-4 MCAC) in the semifinals.  Central Lakes College upset Minnesota State Community & Technical College 26-12 to advance.

North Dakota State College of Science (7-2 overall, 5-1 MCAC) earned a spot in the semifinals with a win over Minnesota West Community & Technical College 45-14.  With a national ranking of #3, NDSCS will host #4 ranked Minnesota North College - Mesabi Range (5-3 overall, 4-2 MCAC). The Norse picked up a win over Minnesota North College - Vermilion in the quarterfinal round 20-0.

The winners of each MCAC semifinal game will move on to the MCAC Championship Game which will be held at 1:00 PM on November 5 at St. Cloud State University in St. Cloud, MN.
