The Minnesota College Athletic Conference (MCAC) has released its softball weekly awards for the week of March 4-10.
Zoe Adkins, right-handed pitcher for Minnesota North College - Rainy River, has been named the MCAC North Division Softball Pitcher of the Week. Adkins started two games and appeared in three. In her 16 innings of work, Adkins gave up seven earned runs and struck out two batters. Dionne Lopez, center fielder for Minnesota North College - Rainy River, earned this week's MCAC North Division Softball Position Player of the Week award. Lopez went four for nine from the plate, hitting .444, with two RBI and three stolen bases.
No athletes were nominated for this week's MCAC South Division Softball Pitcher of the Week or Position Player of the Week award.
