Three MCAC Teams in National Rankings

Rochester, Mn-

Three wrestling programs from the Minnesota College Athletic Conference have garnered recognition in the December 4th poll released by the National Junior College Athletic Association.

Rochester Community & Technical College leads the way for the MCAC as the Yellowjackets are currently tied for 7th in the poll with Iowa Western and North Idaho Community College.  Coach Randy Rager's  squad is the highest ranked non-scholarship wrestling program on the list.  RCTC picked up 36 points in the poll, moving them from 12th in the pre-season poll to their current #7 mark.

Also in the Top 20 is Ridgewater College, who was tabbed as the #19 squad by voters.  The Warriors accumulated ten points in the poll, as did Spartanburg Methodist (SC) and Highline (WA) Community College.  Last but not least, Itasca Community College is found in the 'Receiving Votes' category of the current poll, one of five colleges to receive such designation.
