RCTC Athlete Grabs Wrestler of Week Honors

Enkhbold Sukhbaatar of Rochester Community & Technical College is the MCAC Wrestler of the Week for week six of the 2017-18 season.
 
The freshman from Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, went 4-2 and battled his way to a fifth place finish at 149 pounds in the Husky Open at St. Cloud State University.  Sukhbaatar opened up his day at St. Cloud State with a win over Zachary Beaumaster of Southwest Minnesota State by 2-1 decision in the opening round. He went on to defeat RCTC teammate Tyrik Sann by 6-4 decision as well as Boone Young of Augsburg by 3-2 tiebreaker in the wrestlebacks.  Sukhbaatar completed his day with a win over third-ranked Mark Voss of Ridgewater by 3-1 decision in the fifth place match.
 

The wrestling team at Rochester Community & Technical College is off until the New Year, when they will open up 2018 at the NWCA National Duals in Fort Wayne, Indiana on January 4-5.
