RCTC to Host Itasca Vikings in Playoff Game

Itasca Community College will take on RCTC in a 2016 MCAC football playoff game.  After an 0-3 start to the 2016 regular season, the RCTC Yellowjackets football team has engineered quite a turnaround, as they've earned a right to host a state playoff game this weekend.  The Itasca Community College Vikings will travel to Rochester in the quest to continue their season.  The Vikings dropped a tough 25-31 contest to NDSCS to wrap up the regular season.

The Yellowjackets will host Itasca  in the first round of the MCAC State Playoffs on Saturday. RCTC has won five straight games, and have won the last six MCAC state championships—but Itasca gave the Yellowjackets a game in their regular season meeting, as a late-surge spurred a 27-23 comeback win for RCTC.

Kickoff between the Vikings and Yellowjackets is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Saturday on campus at Rochester CTC.
