Busy Weekend Ahead for MCAC Volleyball, Soccer

Rochester, MN-

The volleyball and soccer squads across the state will continue their fall campaigns across the Minnesota College Athletic Conference, with several volleyball teams looking to make up ground on the No. 1 ranked Central Lakes College Raiders, who will enjoy a rare Saturday off.  In men's and women's soccer, Lake Superior College and Anoka-Ramsey will face off in Duluth in a pair of important contests. 

In volleyball on Friday, Ridgewater College and Mesabi Range College will face non-league foes in Miles City Community College and Oak Hills Christian College respectively, while Anoka-Ramsey will travel to nationally-ranked M State-Fergus Falls for a Southern Division tilt.  Additionally, St. Cloud Technical & Community College heads north to take on Northland Community & Technical College in a match that will feature two teams in the NJCAA Top 10 national poll.

 On Saturday, Ridgewater volleyball will continue to compete in North Dakota, this time against Ellsworth Community College and Bismack State CollegeAnoka-Ramsey will play another Southern Division match at Rochester CTC, while Rainy River, Northland and Itasca will face off in Thief River Falls. 

The ARCC men's soccer team will take on Lake Superior College in a MCAC match-up Sunday, at 2pm, and will make a weekend of it, playing against the JV team at the College of St. Scholastica on Monday.  Anoka-Ramsey and Lake Superior will also play on Sunday, kicking off at noon for a contest between the IceHawks and Golden RamsARCC took the first leg of the series between the two team by a 3-0 scoreline on August 27. 

Riverland's men's soccer team will put it's .500 record on the line on Friday when they travel to North Iowa Area Community College; RCC is currently 2-2-1 overall. 

The NJCAA national office is located in Charlotte, North Carolina; officials noted earlier today that some statistics, score reporting and related processes may be affected by Hurricane Florence.  Thanks in advance for patience as the situation evolves.
