MCAC Volleyball Athletes of the Week

Rochester, MN-

The Minnesota College Athletic Conference (MCAC) has released its weekly volleyball awards for the week of August 22-28.  Northland Community and Technical College middle blocker, Giselle Cole, earned the MCAC North Division Offensive Athlete-of-the-Week. Cole hit .407 with 49 kills and served 5 aces on the week.  Minnesota North College - Itasca libero, Kaisa Reed, was named the MCAC North Division Defensive Athlete-of-the-Week collecting 66 digs for a 4.4 digs per set average and serving up an ace. 

In the South Division, Makayla Balder, St. Cloud Technical & Community College's setter, had 214 assists, 3 aces, and 7 kills in her 6 matches.  She averaged 8.56 assists per set to earn this week's South Division Offensive Athlete-of-the-Week award.  Riverland Community College's Makenna Krause stood out at the libero position during the week digging 123 balls for a 5.34 digs per set average and also served 5 aces to earn the South Division Defensive Athlete of the Week award.
