MCAC Soccer Athletes of the Week: Week of September 19 - 25

Rochester, MN-

The Minnesota College Athletic Conference (MCAC) has released its weekly soccer awards for the week of September 19 - 25. 

Rochester Community & Technical College goalkeeper, Jordan Weber, has been named the Women's Soccer Goalkeeper-of-the-Week after holding Dakota County Technical College scoreless in the 70 minutes of playing time and saving 4 shots on goal. Lake Superior College defender, Ana Hamann, earned the Defensive Field Athlete-of-the-Week award by not allowing a goal to be scored against her and pushing the ball up the field to help her team score two goals in the Icehawks win over Minnesota-Duluth. Mongi Obang, Rochester Community & Technical College forward, picked up the week's Offensive Field Athlete-of-the-Week award with her three goals in four shots on goal to lead her Yellowjackets team to a 6-1 victory over Dakota County Technical College. 

Lake Superior College forward, Joe Eklund, earns the MCAC Men's Soccer Offensive Field Athlete-of-the-Week honor. Eklund scored four goals this week with a hat-trick against Minnesota West and another goal against Anoka-Ramsey.

Noteworthy Information: Jordan had another 70 minutes of scoreless action and 4 saves before subbing out of the blowout win over Dakota County Technical College.

Assists:  0

Noteworthy Information: Ana played 90 minutes and did not give up a goal.  She effectively moved the ball up the field for the offense to score two goals and get a win over University of Minnesota - Duluth.

Team Record: 2-1 overall, 1-1 in the MCAC
