MCAC Volleyball Athletes of the Week: Week of October 17 - 23

The Minnesota College Athletic Conference (MCAC) has released its weekly volleyball awards for the week of October 17 - 23.

Minnesota North College - Vermilion freshman outside hitter, Destiny Hering, earned the MCAC North Division Offensive Athlete-of-the-Week. In her six sets, Hering had 26 kills, averaging 4.33 kills per set, and hitting .477 on the week.  She also added two service aces as well. There were no nominations for the MCAC North Division Defensive Athlete-of-the-Week award this week.  

In the South Division,  Rochester Community & Technical College sophomore middle hitter, Triniti Gbala, had 38 kills in 12 sets, good enough for 3.17 kills per set and a hitting efficiency of .217.  Gbala earns the South Division Offensive Athlete-of-the-Week award.  Riverland Community College sophomore libero, Makenna Krause, had 134 digs in 20 sets for a 6.7 dig per set average, and she added 7 aces, to earn the South Division Defensive Athlete of the Week award, her second of the season.
