M State Golf Wins Region 13 National Qualifier; Soydara Breaks School Record

Minnesota State Community & Technical College Men's Golf won the 2022 Region 13 National Qualifier and now advance to the NJCAA D-III National Golf Championships. With a two day total of 641 (326-315), the Spartans defeated Southwest Wisconsin Technical College who had a two day score of 676 (330-346).  The tournament was held at Victory Links Golf Course in Blaine, MN.

Mikey Vall put together the top overall and one day score of the tournament to help his Spartans advance to their 12th consecutive national championship appearance. Vall had an overall score of 152 (78-74), and his 74 on the second day of the qualifier was the lowest round of the tournament.

M State's Ellia Soydara shot a 73 on day two of the women's tournament and combined for a 156 overall score (83-73) to qualify for the NJCAA D-III National Golf Championships as well.  The 73 was a new Spartan record.

The NJCAA Division III National Golf Championships will be held June 6-9, 2023 in Chautauqua, New York.
