RCTC's Christianson Scores 1,000th Career Point

Rochester, MN -

Olivia Christianson, Rochester Community & Technical College's sophomore forward, scored her 1,000th career point on Saturday evening as she led her Yellowjackets team to a win over Fond du Lac Tribal and Community College.  Christianson become only the second Yellowjacket (Anne Breland - 2009) to achieve that scoring mark in their career.

Needing only seven points entering the game to reach 1,000, Christianson popped a 3-pointer at the 2 minute and 52 second mark off an assist from Kassidy Broadwater to join the 1,000 point club.

RCTC is now 7-0 on the season and ranked #2 in the latest NJCAA D-III Women's Basketball poll.  Christianson, the Lyle, MN product, is averaging 14.6 points per game this season and has been shooting 52.7% from the field, while also averaging 4.1 rebounds per game and 3.6 assists per game.

Christianson will be in action again on December 10 at Minnesota North College - Mesabi Range.
