MCAC Baseball Athletes of the Week: Week of April 3 - 9

Rochester, MN - 

The Minnesota College Athletic Conference (MCAC) has released its baseball weekly awards for the week of April 3-9.

Kaden Pfeffer, left-handed pitcher for Century College, has been named this week's MCAC South Division Baseball Pitcher of the Week. Pfeffer picked up a win in his one complete-game appearance, striking out 11 and giving up only 2 hits and no walks.  Rees Campanale, Rochester Community & Technical College DH/RHP, put together a .500 batting average, going 4 for 8 from the plate with 3 RBI and scoring 3 runs. He also went 2-0 on the mound, scattering 13 hits over 10 innings and striking out 7, and he earns this week's MCAC South Division Baseball Position Player of the Week honor.

St. Cloud Technical & Community College right-handed pitcher, Christian Lessman, earned the MCAC Central Division Baseball Pitcher of the Week honor after going 1-0 in his lone start, giving up only 1 unearned run and 4 hits in his 5 innings of work.  He struck out 10 and only walked one. Sam Holthaus, first baseman/catcher for St. Cloud Technical & Community College, earned the week's MCAC Central Division Baseball Position Player of the Week award.  Holthaus hit .714 on the week, going 5 for 7 with four doubles and a home run, along with 7 RBI and 4 runs scored.

Jake Ouweneel, right-handed pitcher for Minnesota North College - Rainy River, has earned this week's MCAC North Division Baseball Pitcher of the Week. Ouweneel took the mound for seven innings, giving up only 2 hits and no earned runs while striking out 9.  Minnesota North College - Itasca catcher/outfielder, Kodi Miller, hit .444 going 8 for 18 at the plate with two doubles and 2 home runs, 12 RBI and 6 runs. Miller earns the week's MCAC North Division Baseball Position Player of the Week award with his game-tying 3-run homer against DCTC and another go-ahead 2-run home run against MN Post Grad.
