MCAC Soccer Athletes of the Week: Week of October 9-15

Rochester, MN-

The Minnesota College Athletic Conference (MCAC) has released its weekly soccer awards for the week of October 9-15.

There were no nominations for the MCAC Women's Soccer Goalkeeper-of-the-Week award. Rochester Community and Technical College defender, McKenna Baker, scored the game-winning goal and added an assist in a 4-2 win over Dakota County Technical College to earn the Defensive Field Athlete-of-the-Week award. Madison Harden, midfielder for Rochester Community & Technical College, took two shots on goal and scored on one of them to capture the win for the Yellowjackets and earn the week's Offensive Field Athlete-of-the-Week award.

Alexandria Technical and Community College goalkeeper, Edwin Lopez, earned the MCAC Men's Soccer Goalkeeper-of-the-Week honor by saving six shots on goal in 90 minutes and shutting out Riverland Community College 2-0. Minnesota West Community and Technical College defender, Dalen Gonzalez, was named the Defensive Field Athlete-of-the-Week after assisting on the lone goal in a 1-0 win over Riverland Community College to secure the MCAC Championship. There were no nominations for the Offensive Field Athlete-of-the-Week award.
