MCAC Softball Athletes of the Week: Week of March 11-17

Rochester, MN - 

The Minnesota College Athletic Conference (MCAC) has released its softball weekly awards for the week of March 11-17.

Kaitlyn Geschwill, right-handed pitcher for Central Lakes College, has been named the MCAC North Division Softball Pitcher of the Week.  Geschwill pitched in 14 innings over two starts and went 1-1. She struck out 18 while giving up only three runs and 11 hits, compiling a 1.5 ERA for the week. Isabelle Pennertz, first baseman for Central Lakes College, earned this week's MCAC North Division Softball Position Player of the Week award.  Pennertz went five for eight from the plate, hitting .625, and scored two runs while driving in one. She also had a pinch-hit and scored a run to help the Raiders pick up a 2-1 win over Waubonsee Community College.  

No athletes were nominated for this week's MCAC South Division Softball Pitcher of the Week or Position Player of the Week award.
