The Minnesota College Athletic Conference (MCAC) has released its softball weekly awards for the week of March 18-24.
For the second straight week, Kaitlyn Geschwill, a right-handed pitcher for Central Lakes College, has been named the MCAC North Division Softball Pitcher of the Week. Geschwill made three appearances during the week, starting one game, and pitching 11 innings of work. In those appearances, she struck out 14 batters and gave up only four earned runs on 12 hits. Gabrielle Dulas, 3B/C/DP for Central Lakes College, earned this week's MCAC North Division Softball Position Player of the Week award. Dulas hit .357 (5-14), with two doubles, a home run, four RBI, and two runs scored.
There were no nominations for the MCAC South Division Pitcher of the Week. Lexi Tatro, a shortstop at St. Cloud Technical and Community College, earned this week's MCAC South Division Softball Position Player of the Week award. Tatro went 6 for 11 from the plate, hitting .545, with two home runs, five RBI, and four runs scored. She also walked three times and stole a base.
