Itasca Infielder Tabbed for MCAC Honors

Rochester, MN:

Itasca Community College baseball athlete, Athony Azor, has been named the Minnesota College Athletic Conference Player-of-the-Week for March 20-27th. 

The freshman middle infielder from the Dominican Republic hit safely in four straight games over the weekend against Bismarck State College. His performance helped raise his season batting average to .400, as well as collecting a .444 on-base average and .540 slugging mark.  On the basepaths, Azor has swiped six bases and defensively has turned in a .787 fielding mark.

Itasca is next in action when they travel to Worthington, Minnesota to take part in the John Spegielhoff Classic, April 1-2, hosted by Minnesota West.
