Mesabi Range C/1B, John Moringlane has been named the Northern Division Player of the Week, as his hitting performances for the week of March 27-April 2nd helped lead his Norseman squad to a 3-1 over that time.

Moringlane hit for a .583 average, going 7-12 with 6 doubles.  He also drove in 6 runs as Mesabi picked up wins against Vermilion (8-1), Minnesota State Fergus Falls (7-3) and Anoka Ramsey (11-1).  MRC also dropped a 6-4 decision to Anoka.  The sophomore from New York City had a weekly slugging percentage of .667 and stole a base for the Norseman. 

Mesabi sits at 5-11 overall and 2-0 in the MCAC.
