Brekkin McCready, a first-year setter from St. Charles, Minnesota, has been named 'Setter-of-the-Week' for her role in the strong Yellowjacket performances recently. McCready engineered the RCTC offense to two MCAC South wins and keeping the Yellowjackets unbeaten in Divisional play. She tallied 76 assists over two matches, had a pair of kills and six service aces. RCTC moved into the top five in this week's poll for the first time this season. RCTC will face Minnesota West CTC in a "Dig Pink" match on Wednesday, October 17.

Defensive Player-of-the-Week

Taylor Berndt, a freshman Defensive Specialist at Minnesota State-Fergus Falls has earned the MCAC Volleyball Defensive Player-of-the-Week for the Spartans. Berndt led MS-FF to two wins last week, including a conference victory over MnWest in a 3-2 triumph. She collected an amazing 45 digs in two matches, along with three aces. Minnesota State-Fergus Falls is 15-6 on the season, 6-3 in the MCAC Southern Division. The Spartans moved up to No. 7 in the current NJCAA National Top Ten poll released earlier this week.

Hitter-of-the-Week Sydney Berg

Sydney Berg, a first-year student-athlete from Little Falls, Minnesota has been named "Hitter-of-the-Week" for her role in the continued success of the volleyball team at Central Lakes College. Berg totaled 24 kills on 44 attempts last week, good for a .477%. She also picked up nine digs and three blocks, leading the Raiders in both categories as they picked up to more wins, raising their record to 21-1 for the year. No. 1 CLC will travel to Devils Lake, North Dakota to take part in the Sleep Inn Slamfest Tournament this weekend.

All-Around Player-of-the-Week Kylah Lind

Kylah Lind, a freshman at Hibbing Community College has earned the MCAC Volleyball All-Around Player-of-the-Week for the week ending Sunday, October 14. Lind, from Hibbing, Minnesota, registered a .383 hitting average over the week, leading the Cardinals to two key wins. In addition to her hitting prowess, Lind racked up several key blocks in both matches for Hibbing. Hibbing and Lind will play Mesabi Range on Wednesday, October 17 as a part of the HCC Triangular.
