A record 157 student-athletes from the Minnesota College Athletic Conference have earned 2016 Brandinc/MCAC All-Academic Team honors for their efforts not only on the fields, courts and links, but in the classroom as well. 

Student athletes from the MCAC football, volleyball, golf and soccer programs who earned a 3.0 cumulative GPA over the course of the fall semester while also completing at least 12 academic credits during the semester in which the season occurs.  The 2017 Brandinc/MCAC All-Academic Team will be released in late May and will feature student-athletes from men's and women's basketball, wrestling, baseball and softball. 

One of the largest intercollegiate athletic conferences in the upper Midwest, the Minnesota College Athletic Conference is home to 19 two-year colleges in the Minnesota State College system, as well as members in North Dakota and Wisconsin.

The Minnesota College Athletic Conference is the organizing body of the Minnesota State system two-year college athletic departments, including members from two-year colleges in Wisconsin and North Dakota. The MCAC is entering it's 50th year of providing opportunities for students to compete in intercollegiate athletics for a wide range of community and technical colleges in Minnesota and the upper Midwest.  The MCAC office is located in Rochester, on the campus of Rochester Community & Technical College and is directed by Peter Watkins.
