Men's Basketball Player-of-the-Week Awards

The second weekend of inter-divisional games between the Northern and Southern Division has yielded the Player-of-the-Week honorees for the week of play ending on December 10.

MCAC Player-of-the-Week, Northern Division: 

Bradlee Lewis

Guard 

Sophomore  

 Vermillion Community College 

Vermilion Commuity College guard Bradlee Lewis put together a strong weekend for the Ironmen and has earned the Northern Division Player-of-the-Week honor for his efforts. 

Lewis averaged 24.5 points per game in contests against RCTC and Western Technical College. He was particularly strong from behind the arc, going 13-of-23 from three-point territory.  In addition to a hot shooting hand, the sophomore from Minneapolis averaged 3.5 assists and 10.5 rebounds a game. 

Lewis and Vermilion will take to the court next when they play Oak Hills College on December 12 at 7pm. 

 

MCAC Player-of-the-Week, Southern Division:

                         

Jumah'Ri Turner    

Guard 

Sophomore

            RCTC                 

Rochester Community and Technical College won a pair of tough games on the road over the weekend and Jumah'Ri Turner  was a big factor in their success. 

The sophomore guard from Bloomington was 28-of-53 from the field over two games, averaging more than 24 point a contest. He was almost perfect from the charity stripe, knocking down 14-of-15 free throws. Turner averaged 5.5 rebounds and 3 assists over the two games as well. 

RCTC plays on December 11 at 7:30pm against the JV team of Bethany Lutheran College.
