Rochester, Mn-

Luis Pinto of Rochester Community & Technical College has been selected as the MCAC Wrestler of the Week for the week ending December 4.

Pinto claimed his first MCAC honor following a third place finish in the Red Division at last weekend's Dragon Open held by NCAA Division II Minnesota State University Moorhead. Pinto, a redshirt sophomore from Prior Lake, dropped his opening round match 5-2 to eventual champion Brandon Metz (North Dakota State University) before finishing the day with three consecutive wins to claim third place. Among Pinto's wins were a pair of falls over Jacob Belland (Minot State) and Jerrad Nieland (NDSU) as well as a 8-3 decision victory over Jordan Magnuson of Minnesota State University Moorhead in the third place match.
